Day 1:
Arrival at Port Blair
Gear up for your memorable sojourn at the beautiful Andaman and Nicobar islands. Our representative will meet you at the Airport and take you straight to your hotel.
Later in the afternoon, we take you to visit the Cellular Jail, a structure built by the British to assail Indian freedom fighters with atrocities and keep them away from fighting for India’s independence.
Declared a national memorial, Cellular Jail was constructed by the British in 1906 and is spread over three levels. The jail, also known as Kala Pani, saw some of the most famous Indian freedom fighters being sent to the gallows in its premises.
The day draws to a gentle close with the Sound and Light Show at the historic Cellular Jail, which gives you a vivid experience of its strong association with the freedom fighters and their struggle for independence. The long day ends with an overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2
Arrival at Havelock
After a hearty breakfast to start your day, we transfer you to the Havelock Jetty from where you will head to the Havelock Island onboard a cruise connecting two islands. An attraction frequented by foreigners until a few years ago, Havelock has gained a lot of popularity in the recent years among Indians who were almost unaware of its presence. Spread over a small area of about 86 km; the Island is being promoted as a major eco-tourism destination. Back at the jetty after discovering these beautiful islands, an Andaman Diaries representative will meet you and drive you to the hotel for check-in.
In the second half of the day, head to the western side of the island to explore the Radhanagar Beach. Also known as Beach No 7, this is a must-visit place since it has been rated as one of the best in Asia by the Time Magazine. Lovers of solitude, sun, and sand are in for a treat. Widely spread over a few kilometres, the beach also has a wide array of water sports to keep you hooked. The long day comes to an end at the hotel where you can get rest for the exciting day that is to follow.
Day 3
Return Back to Port Blair
Today, after breakfast check-out from the hotel and proceed to our next destination. The adventurous souls can rejoice as we visit the scuba diving centre for a SCUBA Diving experience. The Scuba diving centre in Havelock offers scuba diving trips to the best sites in the area under expert supervision. This is your chance to live the adventure you marvel at only in movies and documentaries. An exhilarating experience, today gives you the opportunity to meet underwater aquatic life in all its majesty and glory.
Thereafter, board the vehicle and drive to Havelock Jetty from where you sail to Port Blair on a board Cruise. Get some rest as the Carbyn’s Cove Beach awaits you in the evening. Nestled in pristine natural beauty, gaze at the clear blue sky and you indulge your senses in this beautiful tableau of coconut palms and the deep blue sea. End this relaxing experience with a peaceful sleep at the hotel.
Day 4
Exploring Port Blair
Refuel your energy with a scrumptious meal before we visit the famous Ross Island today. The administrative headquarter for the British in colonial India, the ruins of the place take you back in time. Elevate this experience further as you visit the museum named ‘Smritika’, that keeps some pictures of the British era. As you walk through the lush trails, you can meet friendly flocks of deer that house the place.
After a short halt for lunch (On direct pay basis), then we head to Chatham, a tiny island in the vicinity. Want to know what makes this island extremely special? A sawmill stands at this place which is one of the biggest and oldest in Asia. Learn more about this place by visiting the Samundrika Naval Maritime Museum that houses a great collection of shells, corals and a few species of colourful fishes found in the islands. Another museum that gives you a peek into the life of the four Negroes and two Mongoloid tribes that inhabit the island is the Anthropological Museum. That’s enough learning for the day! Head to the hotel for the overnight stay!
